Dap-ay in America

Can't believe that it's exactly 20 years ago that I began working on a singular work of art that has defined my life here in the USA. We also left 25 years ago to find a new home here, yet even after all those years, I still feel like a fish out of water.

Looking at the dap-ay from the top of the mural (vantage point of my camera) I can see that this new structure built at Unidad Park appears like a drop of water from Bathala causing a ripple in the form of the terraced community garden.

That work of art is the 1995 Gintong Kasaysayan Mural, known now as the Filipinotown mural.
